A New York native, August followed up her MBA with fifteen years of experience at various regional and national newspapers and has worked as a financial advisor for businesses in her home city. She also runs a blog dispensing financial advice and discussing economic issues.

Becky came to the US from Scotland ten years ago having gained a PhD in Business Management. After five years as an advisor to the board of governors at a major retail firm, she got her break in journalism and has been editing the financial news sections of various magazines since then. She co-edits this site along with August Jiron, and is our main correspondent on financial services.
